The aim of the study is to reveal the periods and causes of Holocene Aeolian activity, paying special attention to sand movements in historical times. The analysis of lake sediments shows two periods of sand movement at the end of Boreal Phase and the beginning of the Atlantic Phase, when thin sand sheets covered the lakes. - (AM)
