Description :
The oldest map of America drawn by Piri Reis in 1513 is the only surviving fragment of World Map. Some elements of the map need solution, explanation, which gave opportunity for interesting, mainly unscientific speculations, e.g. the map represents Antarctica before it was covered by the icecap ; the shoreline was drawn by Palaeolithic people ; the whole map made by extraterrestrial visitors. - (AM)
