Debunking SDIs in South Africa
Auteur :SIHLONGONYANE, F.
Description :
The central aim of this paper is to assess critically the pertinence of the concept of Spatial Development Initiatives as a development planning strategy with the neo-liberal economic climate in Southern Africa with particular focus on South Africa. The goal is to show that the novelty of spatial development is occuring in a different economic environment that is less favourable to third world countries if it is undertaken with little caution. - (AJC)
