Topographic and climatic influences on accelerated loess accumulation since the last glacial maximum in the palouse, Pacific Northwest, USA

Description :
This paper evaluates the roles that Juniper and Cold Springs Canyons have played in the distribution and thickness of loess in the southwestern Palouse. These topographic features and their associated glacial outburst flood and eolian deposits provide an ideal test of the topographic trap model of Mason et al. (1999) and in so doing provide insight into timing of loess deposition since the last glacial maximum (LGM)
