Palaeobotanical evidence for warm summers in the East Siberian Arctic during the last cold stage

Description :
The AA. describe in detail the local vegetation that occurred at the Bykovsky Peninsula during several time segments from the last cold stage and the Holocene. The reconstruction is based on the analysis of plant macrofossils from the permafrost sequence Mamontovy Khayata. The implications for climate and biodiversity of the westernmost Beringian lowlands are discussed.
