Runoff and sediment discharge in a semiarid ephemeral drainage basin

Description :
Most of the sediment load of the Red Deer River, Alberta, Canada, is derived from a badland area which forms less than 2 per cent of the drainage basin. This paper describes results from a small instrumented ephemeral basin set up to determine the precise source of sediments and runoff.
