Natural hazards in the Chad basin region

Description :
The processes of desertization and desertification especially under condition of climatic deterioration in the Chad Basin Region have been found to precipitate natural disasters. These have led to repeated crop failures as well as the loss of several thousands heads of cattle. Therefore, the need for government intervention is most urgent.
