Four cover types are considered : peat, marginal land, forest and improved grassland which are typical to Northern Ireland landscape. Analysis of SPOT simulated imagery suggest potential use in différentiation of peat-areas, monitoring of forest environments, assessing suitable areas for hill-land improvement. - (CB)
