Description :
The Bagaggera sequence was deposited during the entire Pleistocene. The four aggradational or degradational phases and the four weathering periods observed are due to complex interacting between climatic and tectonic activity. A very long previous pedogenic period took place during the Upper Pliocene and part of the Lower Pleistocene.
