Description :
K/Ar ages indicate that basaltic volcanism took place between 6.0 and 2.8 Ma and the main paroxism between 5.0-3.4 Ma with minimum two distinct phases. During this interval magnetic field changed several times and was not biassed either to the normal or the reverse side. Monotonously reverse magnetization seems to point to a single, short-lived and violent explosion phase. (DLO).
