Natural and man-induced changes in the coastal environment in International symposium on coastal evolution in the Holocene.

Description :
The distinction between natural and man-induced changes in the coastal environment is to a considerable extent indeterminable. The PICG 200 should emphasize the mapping of distribution of advancing, stable and receding coastlines. One aspect which invites joint consideration is the nature and scale of changes that will occur, both in coastline retreat and sea-level rise, if the modern global warming continues to such an extent that a major marine transgression occurs.
