Description :
The AA. look at the management in space of one result of the processes of uneven development: the creation of a surplus population of peripheral workers and the unemployed. The management of this section of the working class and its control may be problematical. One response to this problem is to use housing provision and administration to create spatially segregated reserve areas, and the AA. detail this for housing areas in North-East England.
