Overall analysis and systematization of the Bulgarian energy production from geographical point of view. It is characterized against the background of the respective general trends in the world. The limited energy resources of Bulgaria are looked upon as a restraining factor. The majority of resources are in lignite. There is a territorial discordance between the main energy resources and their consumption. The geographical features of the different echellons of energy production process are analysed and examples given. The great part played by Soviet Union in building up the Bulgarian energy production and the stability of the respective relations are underlined. (MB).
