Excavations at ten localities were carried out in the Takagami Lowland, eastern margin of the Kanto Tectonic Basin, in order to reconstruct the Holocene history, based on the facies observation, 14 C dates and analysis of biological assemblages such as mollusca, diatoms and pollens.
