Data and methods: remote sensing data from NOAA 5, LANDSAT 1,2 and 3 are used together. Data processing: numerical (NOAA 5) and photographical (LANDSAT). Geometrical rectifications, enhancement and contouring techniques are used. Results and interpretations: a distinction is made between fjord ice, degradation modalities are established. The diversity of pack ice is studied, forms of floes and drift movements are specially detailed. 15 plates: various spatial imagery of East Greenland sea ice, both NOAA and LANDSAT. (L'Ed.).
