Pleistocene tectonics and shorelines in Almeria (Spain)

Description :
A close relationship between tectonic activity and the number and geometric disposition of Quaternary shoreline features is recognized on the littoral of Almeria. The selected areas are crossed by accidents functioning during the Quaternary as directional faults and affecting differently all the marine terraces, including the Strombus bubonius bearing levels.
