The territory of Slovakia is divided into four regions according to the distribution of core spaces with high natural and technical potential for economic utilization served as criterion for the delimitation of functional-typological regions. Two nodal regions Bratislava and Kosice and two corridor regions (North-Slovakian and the South-Slovakian) have been assigned. (MS).
