Description :
This chapter discusses the role of Hudson Bay in the glacial history of the Laurentide Ice Sheet. After a review of previous work on the problem, calculations on the thickness of the ice sheet, based on geophysical models, indicate that the ice sheet was dynamic over Hudson Bay, with a major divide lying east of the eastern coast of the Bay. Lastly the models are tested with relative sea level curves and with free air gravity anomalies. (P. A. Pirazzoli).
