Description :
The governing role of topography is stressed in the spatial distribution of salt-affected soils and in the constellation of conditions inducing solonchak formation. Flood-plain geomorphological patterns (natural levees and enclosed depressions) control surficial and groundwater movements and flood-plain deposition and eventually soil fertility. (DLO).
