Methods of investigation included the comparisons of the geology of landforms and drainage pattern analyses. The latter is valuable in the reconstruction of volcanic forms, since they reflect primary forms which govern the processes of denudation. On the basis of preservation of original volcanic forms, the volcanic mountains of Hungary are classified. (DLO).
