The A. presents some curious geographical milieus which form islands of landscapes, contrasting to the general features of surrounding sectors. Pozzine and Almon are humid features in some high mountains of semi-arid and arid regions. In these dips grass and water abnormaly abound, depending from some inherited and present periglacial formations and processes. Other original milieus exist in local dependance with a continental sea which modificates the regional and zonal subarid conditions (Northern Elburz in Iran). The arrangement in tiers on the versant is in that case very abnormal.
