Impregnation of rocks and soils undisturbed samples with a fluid fluorescent plastic resine allows the microscopical investigation of the porosity in U.V. epifluorescence. This technic allows very sharp observations of the size, shape and localisation of the porosity. Highly contrasted pictures obtained by this technic fit for image analysis. Few examples of applications are given.
