Secular trends of relative sea-level (RSL) changes indicated by tide-gauge records

Auteur :
PIRAZZOLI, P. A.

Description :
Divergent trends of secular sea-level changes are shown by 229 tide-gauge stations with long enough records. No region of the world can be said stable, even on the tide scale of a few decades. Tectonic and oceanic factors are more important than average global eustatic factors and the average of all the trends may be biased towards a RSL rise by systematic down-warping of coastlines.
