Description :
Three sections containing Late Glacial deposits (especially of Allerod Interstadial Age) are described. The stratigraphy of the Late Glacial is discussed for the area of Schleswig-Holstein. The Bolling Interstadial is well marked by a maximum of Betula pollen (tree birches). Below this a less marked Meiendorf-Interstadial is characterized by maxima of Betula nana and Hippophae.
