Problems of quantitative geography in China.
Auteur :LIN, Bing-yao
Description :
Started in the mid fifties, quantitative geography has seen further development in the eighties. It is among the courses offered in more than 10 universities and widely applied in urban geography, transportation geography, agricultural geography, settlement geography and branches of physical geography. Microcomputers are seen to have great potential in this field but the variety in model can be a disadvantage. Further development depends on intensified programme of training, integration among branches of geography and interflow at international conferences. (TNC).
