Meso-topography and soil cover in tropical karst terrain, West Malaysia

Description :
Results are presented of detailed slope and soil depth surveys from 13 plots on tropical karst outcrops in the Malay peninsula. The meso-topography and degree of surface cover vary widely, with differences in terrain type (rocky hilltop, hilltop depression, steep hillslope, moderate hillslope and moderate footslope), topographic setting and limestone purity accounting for much of the inter-plot variability.
