Description :
The public transport facilities (railway and bus) linking centres and their hinterlands are studied for important centre types in the GDR (11 major and Bezirk centres, 40 regional centres, 157 Kreis centres). The studies cover the whole territory of the GDR. In the present paper the traffic connections based on travelling time are shown on maps and by statistical datas. (HL).
