Description :
Demarcation of regions according to the spatial differentiation on richness of energy resources, economic links between energy production and marketing and energy structure is proposed. Per capita data show that the north, northwestern and southwestern China are much more abundant in energy than the rest of the country. Six first-order and 13 second-order energy-economic regions are demarcated, the latter sub-divided under urban and rural categories. Rational deployment of energy resources within and between regions is proposed. (TNC).
