The investigation of the trace-element in the soil of Sichuan Basin.

Analysis of soil samples from over 600 sites in 102 counties in Sichuan (Szechwan) Basin shows average total Zn, B, Cu, and Mn contents of 108, 80.7, 33 and 641 ppm respectively and average available Zn, B, Cu, Fe and Mn contents of 1.45, 0.23, 2.53, 61.1 and 228 ppm respectively. Most soils in the area are B deficient while available Zn contents vary among river alluviums, purplish soils and yellow soil on old alluvial loess. The use of different fertilizer types is recommended. (TNC).
