The way of urbanization of China's rural settlement.

Description :
The evolution of village settlement towards an industrial/urban economy is rational and in harmony with Marxism while urban growth by immigration of rural population is not. The strategy of growth centres is lauded with caution and illustrated by European examples. Multi-centre models are more appropriate to the Chinese situation, still their applicability must vary according to the 3-fold division of China's macro regions grading from the Eastern high development region through an intermediate transitional region to the Western underdeveloped region.
