The way of comprehensive development and utilization of hilly area in Beijing's suburb.

Description :
Advantages and disadvantages of the hilly areas north and west of Beijing are defined from the point of view of micro climate, land form, soil fertility, moisture and heat resources, natural vegetation and cultural background. Present day production levels and farm structure are discussed and directions are suggested for the comprehensive development of these areas including soil and water conservation, development of orchard, protection of natural grassland and diversification of activities.
