In this mountainous province the variety of land forms, climatic conditions and mineral resources and ethnic diversity are conducive to the development of specialised production. Malpractices in the past are the neglect of hill slopes, deforestation, soil erosion, low level of transport and technological provision. Much effort should be made in terracing hill slopes, full utilization of grassland for animal husbandry, reafforestation and development of tree crops and fishery. (TNC).
