The two graded megasequences observed in the alluvial deposits (middle terrace) of the river Moselle, with the help of other sedimentological indicators, allow the author to correlate sedimentation periods and climatic cycle: sedimentation occurs during glacial progression and burrowing appears as soon as the ice retreats.
