LANDSAT image processing is used to construct maps of cultivation pattern and for the environmental assessment of agricultural sites in Komarom county, for the detection of urban land use in the area of Budapest and for the estimation of the expected changes in the environment caused by the Gabcikovo (Bos)-Nagymaros Barrage System in the Szigetkoz. (DLO).
