Comparison levels for important site-specific data are indicated as an aid for carrying out site comparisons of land-use units. These levels are based on the soils suitability for the cultivation of selected crops. Site data are arranged according to rising clay content, increasing hydromorphy and slope inclination to form ecological and technological similarity series, and grouped in dependence on essential differences in the suitability for cultivation.
