The supply of land
Auteur :WILTSHAW, D. G.
Description :
The supply of land to a use may result from individual suppliers maximizing utility. As a consequence: the slope of the supply curve cannot be determined a priori| supply will be influenced by the distribution of non-land income| different tenure categories will behave acording to the balance of substitution and welfare effects| compulsory purchase may be necessary to surmount individual preferences| and the effect of a development gains tax on change of use will depend upon the relation between the rate of tax, the tax base, and the supplier's compensating variation.
