The valley glacier Sydbreen and its forefield were studied in the Lyngen peninsula, North Norway, Neoglacial end moraines lie on the outer limit of the forefield. They were formed during the 18th and the 19th centuries. In terminal part of the end moraines radial movements were strong and the ridges were formed of proglacial sediments. The lateral parts were formed by scree and supraglacial material. The latero-terminal part of the ridge is the highest section because of a traverse component of normal glacier flow. Inside the end moraine ridges there are fluted surfaces and a hummocky moraine area. At the bottom of the valley there is an outwash-plain with braided channel pattern.
