Description :
The mineralogical studies of the Gyongyosvisonta open cast lignite mine allow further subdivisions of its profile. The occurence of crystoballite in the cover deposits indicates that the volcanic rocks in the Matra Mountains supplied the material. The pedological analyses point to the common origin and similiarities in the deposition of the cover deposits. (DLO).
