A preliminary analysis of atmospheric turbidity and extinction property in the Xizang Plateau during the warm season.

In this high and cold plateau region the index of aerosol particle a is 1.9, and the aerosol's radius is twice as many as that in the plain of East China. Turbidity coefficient B changes with elevation and season and the same trend for transparency of atmosphere is revealed. The atmospheric turbidity is determined by vapour and aerosol, and Rayleigh scattering and other factors are relatively insignificant. (TNC).
