Some problems of the development of Fuzhou city.

Description :
Fuzhou should develop to be focal city of an urban system that serves the north Fujian region covering the Minjiang Basin. The ideal target population should be controlled at 500,000 to 600,000 although its present population is already 700,000. Outward expansion and development of peripheral towns are envisaged. Industries in Fuzhou already feel the pressure of congestion and lack of space. This problem should be solved together with that of accomodating displaced labour from the surrounding rural areas.
