A model for population migration in the Republic of South Africa as applied to the Western Cape.
Auteur :ZIETSMAN, H. L.
Description :
A population migration model is developed and empirically evaluated. The model consists of two submodels: firstly, a non-linear (logistical) multiple regression type which was developed and calibrated to predict regional variations in migration probabilities| and, secondly, an entropy-maximizing type to predict migration destination totals. The results obtained by both submodels were encouraging. (AJC).
