Partial aspects of the regional structure of the eastern piedmont of the Harz Mountains are analysed by means of interpreting spatial photographs. The possibility of making in regional analysis of certain territorial phenomena by means of spatial photographs is significant| e. g. the discovery of linear geostructures, the mapping of topical regional structures of the territory and the observation of topical variations in the distribution of territorial phenomena.
