Warm and cold stages in the past 7600 years in Japan and their global correlation. Especially on climatic impacts to the global sea level changes and the ancient Japanese history

Auteur :
SAKAGUCHI, Y.

Description :
A paleotemperature curve of the past 7600 years has been made based on the palynological results of the Ozegahara peats. Twenty four warm and cold episodes which are revealed in this curve have been compared with various Holocene climatic diagrams throughout the world. The author points out that some peaks and low points of the Holocene sea level curves should be reinvestigated from the viewpoint of fluctuations in the amount of global sea water originating from climatic changes, and that the impact of climate on the ancient history of Japan is undeniable.
