Znacilnosti zgoscevanja prebivalstva v SR Sloveniji. (Characteristics of the population concentration in the SR of Slovenia) (Serbo-Croate

Description :
In the post war period there was a gradual population concentration in the Slovenian lowland areas. The comparison of the last two population censuses (1971 and 1981) shows that in Slovenia only a relatively small number of settlements receive the net migration surpluses. This population concentration is not only in towns but in 220 key settlements. In these centers in the period 1961-1981 average annual population increase amounts to 16 000, or about 1 200 per year more than the annual absolute Slovenian population increase. The analysis showed that areas of the gradual population growth cover 47,1 per cent of the Slovenian territory, areas of the stable population 29,2 per cent and the depopulation areas 23,2 per cent of the Slovenian territory.
