This book is not only an overview of the authors'major contribution to the subject, but also a sound documentary review of the work carried out during the last decades on sea-level changes in Tunisia. Five marine transgressions are recognized since the Tyrrhenian: three of them (the Douiza, Rejiche and Chebba Formations) left clearly emerged marine deposits| Two further intra-würm transgressions have been inferred from eolian deposits.
