The most important results of satellite geodetic works in Potsdam are development and utilization of a laser ranging system of second generation and of a programme package for the analysis of satellite orbits with an accuracy of decimetres. Parameters of Earth's rotation vector as well as large scale terrestrial distances have been derived with a high accuracy by means of distance measuring data to artificial Earth's satellites. (HL).
