Description :
The Bella Coola delta is a laterally confined, steep-fronted, fjord-head delta in North Bentinck Arm in the Pacific Coast Mountains of British Columbia. The principal controls on sedimentation are: the high sediment yield and bedload dominance of the Bella Coola River, which reflect climatic conditions and high drainage basin relief, river month processes, which are controlled by tidal stage and delta morphology: delta front deformational processes which are related primarily to oversteepening in the upper delta front Wave processes are of limited significance.
