Appreciating the geophysical cooperation between GDR and CSSR lasting now for 25 years, the AA. discuss the tectonical scheme of the border region elaborated by both sides, comprising mainly the Erzgebirge and the Lausitzer Bergland. This scheme is based on gravity, magnetic and geological data, and confirms the recently published geological schemes of this area thus amphasizing the importance of geophysical region division. Results of deep seismic soundings in the same area are discussed. The scheme shows also the assumed distribution of granitic material. (HL).
