Rapid sea level and climate change: evidence from continental and island margins
Auteur :CRONIN, T. M.
Description :
This review of the relationship between rapid climatic and sea level change has three purposes: (1) to review critically the four major sources of sea level data from which eustatic sea level trends are constructed (accurate dating, paleobathymetry, stratigraphic resolution, paleoclimatic data)| (2) to assess the accuracy of key sea level positions during the past 250,000 years, particular by those local sea level records that do not match the generalized Barbados eustatic sea level model and which are often attributed to dating errors or tectonic overprint| and (3) to discuss the relationship between sea level and climate.
