Regional distribution of industrial employment in the USSR
Auteur :SAGERS, M. J.
Description :
Regional data on Soviet employment in industry are a useful tool in geographic analysis in reflecting the distribution and concentration of industrial activity in the USSR. The data are rarely available from a single source or a limited set of easily available sources. Matthew J. Sagers of the U.S. Bureau of the Census has performed a useful service in collecting and collating data from widely scattered sources. The actual statistical table is preceded by a brief discussion pointing out data-collection problems and some of the basic trends in regional distribution and change over time.
